How to Change Your Facebook Page Name (Series: How to Achieve Success with Facebook)
Publicize & Branding are the main keys to success of an online business. If you are not easily recognized in the web world, then you are just another scarp on the web. Social Media Marketing & Online Promotion are two main ways you can achieve your goal.
I continually teaching how to achieve success online through ApexBlogger & Few of my posts such as:
One important social media I intentionally left apart is Facebook, as I want to start a Series about ‘How to Achieve Success with Facebook’. I guess it’s high time to start that. I will teach you all few of the basic things to get a brand Name (read: Page Name), your Profile Name, How to Promote Your Page (Business), How to get Fans (Likes) etc.
On this first part I want to start with renaming your business page to make sure it becomes more recognize & standardize & easy to promote online.
So, Without further ado…let’s start…
Step-1:
Open Your Facebook account by logging into the facebook.com then open this link: Facebook.com/UserName. This page let you choose your desired user name. Skip the first part (your profile name pick, I’ll teach you that later) & from the page section, pick your desired page, you want to change name.
Step-2:
Now You can see a blank box right next to the page name to write your customize page name. Now click on check availability for your desired name. If it’s not available then try something new (Remember You can reclaim Your legally trademarked names anytime, read more here: Coming Soon).
Step-3:
Once it’s available You will see the following popup to inform you that you can your desired name is available & you can set this as Facebook.com/Your desired name, but once you set, you can’t change it, the only way is to create a new page & RECLAIM YOUR PAGE NAME.
Step-4:
Click on Confirm & Done! Congrats! Now you have your Business name all set to roll…Now you can print it on your business cards, online & offline promotional campaigns, website, blogs etc to let your targeted audiences know about your Facebook page.
During this tutorial process I have show how did I change my Blog’s Facebook Page name to Facebook.Com/ApexBlogger. As I have mentioned earlier that If you have a registered business or website & somebody intentionally or unintentionally block your username (it happened with me with my another site); then you can request Facebook about this & they will recover your legal username for you.
